A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of volunteer patients, carers and GP practice staff who meet regularly to discuss and support the running of their GP practice.
PPGs look at the services the practices offers, patient experience and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice. Each PPG is different, but they all have the aim of making sure that the GP practice puts the patient, and improving health, at the heart of everything it does.
Our Practice has an active Patient’s Reference Group (PRG) who are there to represent the views of the Practice’s patients. The group meets with the practice team every quarter face to face to help set Practice priorities for the future.
We welcome applications from all sections of our practice population to join our PPG in order to ensure our group is as representative as possible. Membership is open to any patient, so if you would like to join the group or have any questions or suggestions that you would like to raise through the PPG, then do write to the surgery, marking your letter for the attention of the PRG and we will forward it on your behalf. If you do not want to join the PPG, then please feel free to pop any comments, ideas, suggestions or criticisms into our suggestions box.
